Go For Launch- Art! builds on the Go for Launch – Science model, to enable students to design, build and launch a STEAM art project to the International Space Station. All teams will have their art project delivered to ISS.
This involves an immersive multi-day program led by Higher Orbits that uses the excitement of space exploration to engage students with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), while also building skills in creative arts, teamwork, communication, and leadership. Two-day and three-day programs are available. Students work with astronauts (for the entire event), space & STEM professionals, and other mentors who inspire and encourage them as they solve challenges in teams. The program culminates in a competition to design a science experiment to fly to the International Space Station. The winning experiment, from the overall series, will be developed into a flight project for the ISS. Go For Launch! has already sent several experiments into space in 2017 and looks forward to many more launches of student experiments in 2018 and beyond!
