This is the most advanced type of student project offered by Quest Institute. With the help of technical mentors, students design and build custom hardware that fits in a mini-laboratory to be launched to the space station.
Due to the expense of creating custom, flight-ready hardware and launching a payload to the ISS, these advanced projects cost $22,000. Schools and other organizations can seek support through grants and sponsorships from both the public (government) and private (companies and philanthropic foundations) sectors. Teachers participating in CASIS’s Space Station Ambassadors program will receive updates when grant opportunities are announced.
